The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 8 - $113,948 to $128,980 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Appointment to be made to current campus location

The Division of Information Technology invites applications from experienced IT professionals to step into the Manager, Personal Computing role. You will lead the Personal Computing, Audio Visual and Computer Shop teams, overseeing the delivery of standard personal computing and audio-visual environments that support staff and students across Charles Sturt.

Working closely with stakeholders across the University, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership, prioritise team workloads, support continuous improvement and transformation initiatives, and ensure services align with University standards, policies and security requirements. You will also have responsibility for enterprise desktop software licensing, technology procurement, financial management and the operational readiness of audio-visual facilities across teaching and learning spaces and meeting rooms.

  • Experienced in managing IT professionals within an enterprise environment, with a broad understanding of their technical work.
  • A confident people leader who builds collaborative, capable and supportive teams.
  • Highly organised and self-directed, with strong communication and administration skills.
  • Skilled at building relationships and negotiating with technical teams, business stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strongly service-focused, with experience in enterprise desktop software licensing and technology procurement.
