The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (until 23 July 2027)
  • Level B - $113,841 to $134,965 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst, Canberra or Wagga Wagga (remote work considered for the right candidate)

Join the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security (AGSPS), a globally recognised leader in policing, security and emergency management education. As a Lecturer in Terrorism Studies, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional education programs, preparing students to address complex and evolving security challenges.

Drawing on your expertise in terrorism, security and contemporary threat environments, you will coordinate subjects, develop innovative curriculum and create meaningful learning experiences across online and on-campus delivery. You'll collaborate with colleagues, industry and government partners to ensure teaching remains practical, relevant and informed by current professional practice, while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the School.

This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about student success, values applied learning, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where teaching excellence and industry engagement make a genuine impact.

About you

  • A qualification in terrorism studies, security, criminology or a related field.
  • Passion for delivering engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
  • Current knowledge of terrorism, security and emerging threat environments.
  • Ability to translate professional expertise into practical, relevant teaching.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and industry.
