The role

  • Level C - $139,182 to $160,308 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Level D - $167,348 to $184,243 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

As a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Literacy, you will play a key role in preparing future educators through high-quality teaching, research and professional engagement. Based within the School of Education, you will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in on-campus and online modes, contribute to curriculum innovation, and build strong relationships with students and partners.

You will provide academic leadership in literacy education, contribute to the School’s research profile, supervise higher degree research students, and actively engage with professional, community and government stakeholders. At Associate Professor level, the role carries an expectation of significant academic leadership, research impact, and contribution to the broader discipline at a national and, where applicable, international level.

You are a passionate and credible academic in literacy education who is motivated to make a meaningful impact on students, the profession and the wider community. You bring a collegial mindset and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and engagement.

You will bring:

  • A doctoral qualification relevant to literacy or education, with a recognised teaching qualification
  • A strong record of high-quality teaching and student-centred learning
  • An established or emerging research profile aligned to literacy, curriculum or pedagogy
  • The ability to build productive partnerships and contribute to academic leadership
