The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (until December 2026)
  • Level 9 - $132,740 to $140,258 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Appointment to be made to current location

As the AI Implementation Lead (Education Strategy), you will lead the delivery of AI initiatives that support the Education Strategy, primarily focusing on Models of Engagement and Assessment initiative. You will design, develop and deploy AI enabled tools and processes that strengthen assessment integrity, course assurance, and new models of engagement, translating strategic direction into scalable, compliant solutions across the institution.

This is a unique opportunity to lead sector shaping AI innovation and directly influence the future of learning and assessment.

About you 

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, building and deploying AI tools or agents, such as custom GPTs or workflow-based AI systems – to support professional or educational practice
  • Proven ability to translate strategic intent into operational plans, pilots and scalable workflows – including evaluation approaches that deliver measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex institution-wide projects or initiatives in higher education or similar environments, including prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, and navigating risk.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to influence academic and professional staff and produce high-quality documentation and recommendations for senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contemporary assessment practices, academic integrity considerations, and course‑level assurance requirements in a higher education context.
  • Experience delivering assessment reform or assurance‑of‑learning initiatives at institutional or faculty level will be highly regarded.
