The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 12 months)
  • Level 9 – $132,740 to $140,258 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga campus

As Manager, First Nations Workforce Development you will lead the implementation of our First Nations Employment Strategy and contribute to the People and Culture initiatives within our First Nations Strategy.

This is a pivotal role that will shape the attraction, progression, development and retention of First Nations staff across the University. You will play a vital part in strengthening career pathways and ensuring our workplace is culturally safe, inclusive and empowering.

About you 

  • A First Nations person (of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, who identifies as such, and is recognised by community).
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and bring extensive experience in First Nations workforce development or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State legislation and policy relating to First Nations employment.
  • Experienced in people leadership, cultural capability building, and developing workforce programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
