The role

  • Fixed term (up to 12 months), Part time (15 hours per week)
  • Shifts: 7am to 10am, Monday to Friday (no weekend work!)
  • Level 4 - $31,379 to $34,063 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst

 In this role you will produce hourly radio local news bulletins for 2MCE weekday Breakfast programmes, broadcast 7am to 9am, Monday to Friday. You will also produce a daily on-demand local news bulletin and content for social media. You will write and produce stories that align with the core values of community broadcasting and showcase diverse voices not always represented by other news outlets.

About you

  • Previous experience in producing and presenting hourly radio news bulletins.
  • Knowledge and passion for the community broadcasting sector, including upholding the guiding principles and Codes of Practice.   
  • High level writing and communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience in podcasting and social media content creation would be advantageous.
