The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 6 - $92,025 to $99,538 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

As the Adviser, First Nations Careers and Skills, you will be responsible for the collaborative development and implementation of career development opportunities for our First Nations students.

This includes the delivery of the First Nations Cadetships program, providing one on one and/or group support to online and on campus students, and contributing to projects and programs relevant to supporting career development initiatives.

About you  

  • Demonstrated excellence in using inclusive approaches in the provision of services, based on an understanding of the needs of First Nations people and relevant to service delivery.
  • High level stakeholder engagement and communication skills in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently to prioritise work, meet deadlines and produce high quality outcomes.
  • Excellent IT skills to support client centred service delivery, and ability to learn new technologies as required.

Appointment will be conditional upon the successful applicant satisfying and maintaining a “Working with Children Check”, in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW).
