The Role

  • Continuing, Full time
  • Level 5 - $81,999 to $89,521 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga (On campus based role)

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and research across biology, chemistry, and food and beverage science. This hands-on position involves preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, supporting classes and research activities, and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to technical operations across all Schools in the Faculty, working with chemical and biological hazards. Your expertise will help drive innovation, safety, and collaboration in a fast-paced academic setting.

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement of this position.

About you 

  • A relevant degree in Science or related discipline; or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Food and Beverage laboratory techniques and in the use of associated specialist equipment .
  • Experience contributing to risk management systems within a food safe work environment, including maintaining accurate records.
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe use, handling and disposal of hazardous substances and biological materials.
