The role

  • Part Time – 33.75 hours per week, Fixed Term (until December 2027)
  • Level D - $146,226 to $160,988 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst

Join our interdisciplinary team as an Associate Director and use your skills in thought-leadership in child-focused research, policy, practice, and mentorship. You’ll inspire and provoke critical discussions while building research, enhancing engagement with academic, research, and policy entities, and enriching dialogue with children, families, and communities at all levels.

Key responsibilities include fostering and leading collaborative and interdisciplinary research initiatives, securing grants and initiating research translation activities that expand the university’s reach through professional development and conferences, mentoring Centre members in research and career development, supervising higher degree research students, building relationships with key stakeholders, and coordinating advisory panels and capacity-building opportunities.

About you

  • A doctoral qualification and proven experience in child-focused research, policy and practice in academic and/or professional settings
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with creative engagement among internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in securing grants and publishing and translating research
  • Commitment to fostering interdisciplinary and international research collaborations
  • Experience in supervising higher degree research students.
