The Role

  • Continuing, Full Time
  • Level 9 - $114,248 to $120,746 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga

As the Manager, Admissions and Conversion, you will lead the efficient administration, processing and selection of all domestic admissions for the university, as well as overseeing a highly effective conversion strategy. You will be responsible for creating an admissions and conversion team which is trusted by stakeholders and provides an excellent customer service to applicants to the university. The role manages both the operational activities of the admission and conversion team while providing strategic, effective support to the Associate Director, Admissions and Conversion and other key stakeholders including Faculty leadership.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or extensive management expertise and supporting experience
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, entrepreneurial and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of the tertiary education sector and an understanding of the trends and issues in domestic education as they relate to acquisition with a focus on admissions and conversion.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning
  • Demonstrated leadership and direction in the management of human and finance resources

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) is a member of the Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Team. As such, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) also assists the Vice-Chancellor generally in providing positive leadership and management for the University.

The Division of Future Students leads the university’s student recruitment, acquisition and conversion strategy in order to achieve the goal of recruiting high quality domestic students. This includes the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate domestic student recruitment, sales and student experience events, management of course enquiries, driving forward the university’s participation and pathways agenda, and the facilitation of admissions, credit and conversion. The Division is forward-thinking and results-driven and is comprised of a Student Recruitment, University Events and Experience Group, Tertiary Participation and Pathways Group and an Admissions and Conversion Group.
