The Role

  • Fixed Term (up to 5 years), Full Time
  • Senior remuneration package in the range of $156,499 to $195,624 p.a.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate leader to drive whole of organisation reform for our international education and partnerships operation.

Supported by the University Council and Senior Executive leadership team, play an integral part in delivering the University’s international strategy to drive growth and internationalisation in both our regional and metropolitan delivery locations.

This exciting opportunity will suit an individual who is a proactive and collaborative leader with a passion for driving transformation and change through education. Utilise your advanced stakeholder engagement capabilities and keep abreast of current and emerging data and analytic trends, domestic and international best practice and compliance; and innovative approaches and opportunities to support the University’s international goals and objectives.

To be successful you will have:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification and/ or relevant experience and demonstrated leadership in the international education and partnerships sector
  • In depth understanding of the international education, general higher education and vocational education environment in Australia
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and management capability with the ability to manage and develop strategic relationships
  • Ability to manage change by anticipating and responding to developments within internal and external environments
  • Proven ability to manage budgetary finances, resources and infrastructure, and the ability to actively pursue ways of increasing revenue

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Engagement) encompasses the Research Office, the Office of Global Engagement and Partnerships, the Office of Indigenous Affairs, the four University Research Centres plus a number of strategic agendas including ethics and compliance, commercialisation of research, the AgriPark and contribution to the University Strategy. The DVC RDI, in collaboration with the Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement (Research and Partnership), stewards the development of collaborative connections between Charles Sturt University and industry, end-users and stakeholders to strengthen and expand the research agenda. Closer strategic partnerships are sought based on the internationally competitive nature and relevance of Charles Sturt University research and the opportunity to provide Higher Degree by Research students with a more comprehensive training.

The Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (PVC) Community and Global Engagement provides a range of services and expertise to support the University in the development and management of domestic and international programs and linkages. The Office also oversees liaison with the national and international VET sector to facilitate, support and encourage students to transition from College to University.
